So, basically I have been playing this game for like 7 years now. I started back in 2015 and I remember connecting to brazilian SA-MP server the first time. I didn't know how to enter as a pressenger or even how to open the chatbox. I spawned at LSPD HQ, one guy came to me and kept pressing horn.

I couldn't enter and I think he told me to press T or G or something. Somehow I managed to open the chatbox and I think I asked him how to enter as passenger. Mind you, I didn't even know how to construct a proper sentence or proper usage of verbs/words/tenses.

I vaguely remember joining Breaking Desert Roleplay (BDRP). I saw this name on the server list, Breaking Desert Roleplay. I was like damn, okay so I guess we play in a desert or something. I had no idea what a roleplay server is or what is it about.

So I joined this BD:RP and it had a 10 question quiz test that you had to pass before you are allowed to spawn/play. I had no idea about roleplay terms like MG, RK, DM and stuff. So I looked up BDRP videos on YouTube and found answers on the comment section. Those days I felt pure innocence, feel me? I honestly wanted to play this game anyhow and was so keen into learning stuff so I can play.

I kind of miss those days of not knowing anything and willing to do anything to achieve what I want. That experience of discovering an entire new world, made me hooked up to this game and also this BDRP samp server.

Back in those days, I had D-link WiFi router at my home and my connection was so slow that I would get desynced and disconnected every 3 or 4 minutes. Also, my PC ran into issues like shutting itself down every 10 minutes. This was happening at the end of late 2015 and begining of 2016 I think. I used to pray like oh gawd dont turn this PC off, just so I can play.

I used to lose every gunfight because I had no idea what is Cbugging is or if I shoot take cover and shoot or anything like that. I was playing the single player campaign from 2007 and upto 2015 until I discovered this SA:MP modification existed.

I had seen a screenshot where a lot of players with a nametag and healthbar above their heads, standing on a TRAM that running on the railroads of Los Santos. The TRAM was exactly near the Cracklab (HZ) or the house where you'd save Denise while torching up a house. I would have included that image here now but sadly the original SA:MP had shut down all the support, downloads and the community forums a while back.

I was a noob back on BDRP. I do have a font memory of registering an account on (www.bdroleplay.com) and spending some time there. I applied for a tow trucking company/agency that was known as BCTR or something. It was a government faction and basically you drive the tow truck and help people repair their cars. I applied on the forums for it and it was my first ever SA:MP job that I gotten into by applying on a website. I felt like I know how to apply and attend interviews IRL too LOL. I played there a bit and I joined a motorcyle gang and I don't remember the name. It was led by Alex Bio, a greek guy who lost his mom at a young age and he had a heart surgery. He is a nice guy.

I played there from late 2015 to 2017, 18. By the way, BDRP did close and reopen like two or three times because the owner, Terry Collins, would be active for a month after opening the server and then go inactivity with no way to contact him. So the staff members are left to deal everything and Terry wouldn't implement new features to the server. I joined the Sheriff's Department and it was led by a moroccan guy called Jason Loringston. I had been watching too much police chase videos that's on SA:MP and I wanted to do all that action, so I was so keen to join the SD and I applied. I think I had the same feeling like I'm applying for a job IRL. I was so noob and young back then. I played SA:MP so regiously.
